Ben Alman will be speaking about the importance of JavaScript unit testing, and how your jQuery and JavaScript code can benefit from unit tests. In addition to outlining how both test- and behavior-driven development approaches work, Ben will also talk about functional JavaScript unit testing, and walk through the development of a QUnit testing suite.

Adam Sontag, member of the jQuery UI team, will walk us through jQuery UI Widget Development and pop open the widget factory on the big screen to show us how it works. In this talk Adam will examine the process of creating complex, stateful plugins, and how jQuery UI's Widget Factory can speed up and simplify the process of developing and using jQuery plugins.

Rick Waldron will be helping you unlearn what you thought you knew about Web Workers and demonstrating how to use background threading in your web applications with jQuery.Hive and PollenJS.
