We are looking for a jQuery expert to do a code review of our survey-builder application, built using jQuery and XML/XSL. We expect speed improvements could be obtained, and we are also experiencing possible browser issues with IE.
Our application saves XML elements to a mySQL database via Hibernate and Java; we have a programmer who maintains the server-side code. Our goal here is to optimize the front-end jQuery code.
You should be fluent in optimizing jQuery, Javascript, AJAX, and comfortable with XML/XSL; some familiarity with Hibernate Query Language would also be helpful.
We are based in San Francisco, part of the UCSF Medical School. We would prefer someone who could come to our site and work with our front-end production team.
Please re-post to relevant sites, or let me know if there's another place this should be posted.
Thanks,
Ricki-Ellen Brooke

I would like to arrange a meetup in the South Bay (San Jose/Santa Clara/Palo Alto, etc). How about an informal get together to discuss an on-going event...perhaps at a Starbucks or such? If interested, please respond here or contact me directly. My primary interest is to share with others who are developing web apps and in particular .net based.

I just joined this jQuery group, and I'd love to connect with some folks too. We just released the first version of our open source app framework that let's you write complete server-side apps using jQuery. http://openmsjs.org

We're planning to go to the conference in April, but I'd love to connect before that if folks are interested. Happy to host too -- our offices are in San Mateo.
