jQuery Meetups

jQuery Meetups

Hey Everyone -

So I'm going to do my best to organize a real meetup based on feedback that I've been receiving from everyone. The date for our next meetup is yet to be determined and based on this feedback and the timeliness of the response will determine when our next get together will occur.

The main feedback that I've been receiving is the lack of a strict agenda for the meetups.

Therefore, I would like to reach out to all members and get topics of discussion that people would either just plain like to talk about or if you have something that you would like present that would also work.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Thanks!

My jQuery UI Widget Factory talk is in pretty good shape, and I'd be happy to give that at a meetup. With another talk to go along with that, we could easily get a pretty jam-packed session going. When are you thinking of doing the next one? Mid November?

If anyone else has stuff they want to present, please speak up!
Yes, I'd like to try and get something within the next 4-5 weeks. It really depends on other feedback I get.

I would jump at the chance to attend a meetup. I think it would be great if we could do it monthly, one thing to consider though it the brooklyn.js meetup group over at meetup.com which meets regularly on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Would be a shame to compete with a sister group.

With that said, maybe we could do the 1st Tuesday of every month so those who attend (or want to attend) both can have bi-monthly meetups and allow us to cross pollinate.

Cheers!

hmm, yeah, something on jq mobile would be great. i dabbed with it briefly...from what it seems, you can get some pretty legit stuff up and running really fast.. it's definitely still an ALPHA though :D

Adam, in many ways it doesn't matter since they all share the same library code. Sencha appears to have the most mature framework.
