So where does the jQuery Los Angeles group meet at? I work downtown and we can host a meet up (near Staples Center).

Derek has helped me organize a SoCal.js presentation meetup for next Tuesday, October 12th, at Cramster.com in Pasadena:

Anyone interested in joining or presenting, please feel welcome!

Hey All, I work for Cramster.com in Pasadena and we are currently looking to hire some great front end engineers with varying levels of expertise. Cramster.com is a fast growing educational startup offering textbook and homework help to high school and college students.

If you are interested in working for a company that understands and appreciates front end engineers, has a web site audience that is on the bleeding edge of browser adoption (read: no IE6!) and rich interface expectations, Cramster is the company you're looking for. We are also using many "lean startup" concepts like kanban and are in the process of implementing continuous deployment. This is a high performance startup that is in it to win. Come join us. PM me if you're interested in starting the process!

Also, check out some of the press we're getting: http://www.cramster.com/pressroom/

Lastly, we are working on hosting a meetup. Cramster will host and provide food and drinks. Hopefully in the next week or so, depending on interest. More to come on that.

Anyone want to give a talk on something JS/jQuery related? Let me know. :)

Dan no problem, it went quite well and I think we will definitely make it happen again. However I think the socal.js on meetup.com is probably the place to watch for future news, this site is fine for comments but not really organizing an event.

Sorry I RSVP'ed but didn't show up dudes - I am pretty sick right now. I've got the only vacation I'll probably get all year comin up, so I'm just trying to get better. Definitely coming to the next one.

I'll be there a little early as well. Look for the bearded dude with a red JSConf shirt. If for whatever reason we have issues with Barney's and need to find someplace else, I'll post a update on my Twitter feed. @derek

Hey all, regretfully I won't make it tonight after all. Enjoy yourselves and I'll see you all at the next one.
