My name is James Hatfield, I am the Manager for UI Development at Fossil, Inc. in Richardson, TX.
I am looking for a new Lead UI Developer to join my team within the Ecommerce dept.

The perfect candidate will be a user centric interactive developer who is passionate about progressive web standards and web technologies: semantic HTML, microformats, CSS pseudo-selectors, HTML 5 Canvas element, JSON, Papervision, Tweener, GAIA framework, MVC design patterns, Value Objects, Object Oriented, Unit Testing, W3C, WCAG – all should be in your vocabulary if not in your toolbox."

- Mobile Web is coming in-house, so lots of opportunity to use touch gesture events and smartphone web APIs (not just iPhone).
- Multiple new websites, core enhancements to existing sites: fossil.com/uk/de/it/jp/ch/au/ca/etc/etc (25 countries), zodiac.com, michele.com, adidas.com/watches, a few to be announced sites.
- we use Websphere Commerce, Endeca (search/refinement), Adobe Scene7 DAM, Akamai Cache, and a host of 3rd party services, all things you get to play with.
- we are committed to a commerce platform that provides a solid no-script full transaction stack while exporting a set of data feeds for client side enhancements in almost every feature of the site.
- we are also working towards a goal of being Flash independent (not flash free, just not dependent on it for branded content or applications).
These are all things a great candidate will be able to jump into with us, head first at times.
